My mother was a caring, loving and incredible woman who was always willing to help when she could. Her passing has had a massive impact on our family in so many ways and those who got the chance to meet and befriend her. She was a daughter not only to my grandmother but to her two aunts who raised her as their own. She was a wife to my father who cherished her. Together they were a team always working together, raising us, and setting an example of what a loving relationship should look like. She leaves behind three kids, myself and my two siblings. She loved us so deeply, especially my brother who has autism. She made sure he was always taken care of and showed him nothing but endless love and adoration. She was the best mother any of us could have asked for. She never missed any school events, games, swim practices, doctor’s appointments etc. 

She loved to be involved in the community and was a part of many groups. It gives me peace and comfort to know that she was able to share her warmth with others and that others were able to see her light. There are not enough words to truly express what she meant to me and my family. She was the best mother, wife, and friend. She was truly the light in our lives.

It all happened so fast, and this was all unexpected to our family. As anyone in our shoes can say, we were not ready, nor did we expect to be going through these tough times. I myself was not ready. With every bit of strength I have, I am continuing to push through for my family and for myself.

Mi madre era una mujer cariñosa, amable e increíble que siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar cuando podía. Su fallecimiento ha tenido un gran impacto en nuestra familia en muchas maneras y en aquellos que tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerla y entablar amistad con ella. Ella era hija no solo de mi abuela, sino también de sus dos tías, quienes la criaron como era su propia hija. Ella era esposa de mi padre, quien la amaba. Juntos eran un equipo que siempre trabajaba juntos, criándonos y dando un ejemplo de cómo debería ser una relación amorosa. Ella deja tres hijos, yo y mi heromano y hermana. Ella nos amaba tan profundamente, especialmente a mi hermano mayor que tiene autismo. Ella se aseguró de que siempre lo cuidaran y le mostró nada más que amor y adoración infinitos. Ella fue la mejor madre que cualquiera de nosotros podría haber pedido. Nunca se perdió ningún evento escolar, juegos, prácticas de natación, citas con el médico, etc.

Le encantaba estar involucrada en la comunidad y era parte de muchos grupos. Me da paz y consuelo saber que ella pudo compartir su calor con otros y que otros pudieron ver su luz. No hay suficientes palabras para expresar verdaderamente lo que ella significó para mí y mi familia. Fue la mejor madre, esposa y amiga. Ella era verdaderamente la luz en nuestras vidas.

Todo sucedió tan rápido, y todo esto fue inesperado para nuestra familia. Como puede decir cualquiera que esté en nuestros zapatos, no estábamos preparados ni esperábamos estar pasando por estos tiempos difíciles. Yo mismo no estaba listo. Con cada pequeña fuerza que tengo, sigo esforzándome por mi familia y por mí mismo.
