*Update*

Mrs. Martha passed away early Thursday morning. She is now in the presence of her Lord and with her beloved husband and her father. 

Martha Arredondo was a pillar in the Galena Park/Jacinto City community, as many of you know. She worked tirelessly with children with disabilities at MacArthur Elementary and Jacinto City Elementary. Her love for her kiddos radiated as did her love for her daughters.

This past weekend Mrs. Martha's daughter was gracious enough to let me know that they had decided to move Mrs. Martha to hospice. Mrs. Martha took a turn for the worse on Monday, and her daughters have asked friends to refrain from visiting so they can have that time with their mother.

Mrs. Martha lost her dear husband to cancer less than two years ago and was herself diagnosed with cancer five months after his death. She has three young, precious daughters that have not left her side.

I know it's a rough time for many people right now; still, I am asking you all to please find it in your hearts to help alleviate some of the financial burdens that caring for an ill loved one brings. Uber Eats gift cards are welcome or monetary donations. I have created a meal train as well for those of you that prefer to sign up.
