This is a campaign set up for the medical expenses and bills of Ron and Martha Sandnes.
I am a friend and former co-worker of Martha. I have had the joy of knowing her and Ron since she started working at Waddell & Reed in 1998. Due to a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis that began in 2003 and with worsening mobility issues, she left the company in 2008. Her service and smiling face in the IMD Research Library will always be remembered. She currently has mounting issues with MS, including wound care appointments and loss of the use of her legs.
Martha’s husband, Ron, whom she married the same year she began working at W&R (1998), worked at Suburban Custom Classics from 2004 until just last December (2017). He is also fighting his own medical battle. He was diagnosed with stage four metastatic melanoma seven years ago. He has had surgery on his nose, neck and brain. He has done interferon, radiation and whole brain radiation. Currently, he is in hospice.
This July 4th will be their 20th wedding anniversary. They have a love between them that is unlike most. Ron has cared for Martha over the years, becoming her hands and legs when she could not use them, while Martha has loved and cared for Ron through it all.
A donation of any amount would help them offset their mounting medical expenses. Please consider giving if you can. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.
