Hey everyone,
My oldest sister Marta had unfortunately been faced with tragic news end of January, she’s been diagnosed with stage 3C1 cervical cancer (stage 3c1 meaning that it’s spread to the lymph nodes in her pelvic area). At first she was meant to have an operation to cut the cancer out however the doctors have advised her to get chemotherapy, radiotherapy and Brachytherapy instead due to the uncertainty of the operation being successful.
we have reached out to some of the best doctors whom specialise in cervical cancer in Poland, to see if we could get her operated there however they have also refused.
Marta is in high spirits for recovering and is trying both medical and unorthodox ways to get back to herself and make full recovery. Her daughters 11 and finding it difficult to get her head around the situation.
The money will be used for; travel to and from hospital ( after these therapies your not allowed to go on public transport, her treatments are 5 days a week for 6 weeks plus 4-5 days hospital stay so as you can imagine it’s very costly), monthly supplements, medicine that’s not available on the NHS & childcare, bills and other expenses.
Due to the terrible news, constant hospital appointments, treatment and feeling unwell Marta had to stop working as it’s difficult to commit to hospital appointments whilst juggling work on the side as well as taking care of a child, and feeling unwell.
Any help is very appreciated, and we will be posting Marta's journey to recovery.
