On the feast day of Saint Martha, it is with a heavy heart that we gather together, as our hearts go out to our dear TEC Sister in Christ, Marta.

Her Mother, who is also named Marta, has gone before the Lord on this day July 29, 2020.

As some of you may know, Marta has also lost her Father recently too. Just as Jesus weeped for the loss of his friend Lazarus, who He rose from the dead; We too weep for our sister, as the Lord brings forth her Mom into the Kingdom by His resurrection.

"[...]Martha said to Jesus,
“Lord, if you had been here,
my brother would not have died.
But even now I know that whatever you ask of God,
God will give you.”
Jesus said to her,
“Your brother will rise.”
Martha said to him,
“I know he will rise,
in the resurrection on the last day.”
Jesus told her,
“I am the resurrection and the life;
whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live,
and anyone who lives and believes in me will never die [...]" (John 11: 19-27)

May eternal rest be granted O' Lord to Marta's Mother. Amen.
