Marta Perez Silva Funeral Expenses

On the morning of Sunday Aug 6th, my sister Marta Perez Silva was tragically found dead in her apartment. She was a victim of domestic violence and her boyfriend is currently facing charges for her homocide. The night before, neighbors told police they were able to hear a violent fight coming from her apartment but nothing could have stopped her from getting stabbed several times until she died.
My Family and I created this fundraiser to help us cover the expenses of bringing her body back to Mexico and all the funeral costs.
Marta, who was only 21 years old, came to the United States about a year ago with many dreams as many of us. She was a sweet young woman, a hard worker and a great mother for her 5 year old daughter who did not deserve to be taken this soon.

En la mañana del domingo 6 de agosto, mi hermana Marta Pérez Silva fue encontrada trágicamente muerta en su apartamento. Ella fue víctima de violencia doméstica y su novio actualmente enfrenta cargos por su homicidio. Los vecinos le dijeron a la policía que la noche anterior pudieron escuchar una pelea violenta proveniente de su apartamento, pero nada pudo impedir que la apuñalara varias veces hasta que murio.
Mi familia y yo creamos esta recaudación de fondos para ayudarnos a cubrir los gastos del traslado de su cuerpo de regreso a México y todos los costos del funeral.
Marta, que solo tenía 21 años, llegó a los Estados Unidos hace aproximadamente un año con muchos sueños como muchos de nosotros. Era una joven dulce, trabajadora, y una gran madre para su hija de 5 años que no merecía que se la llevaran tan pronto.
