Support Marta Jaciubek-McKeever's cancer treatment

Calling our community together to support Marta Jaciubek - McKeever and her family through a sudden cancer diagnosis on February 4, 2024.

All of us who know Marta love her for her incredible heart, and know so well the light that shines from deep within her soul. She is the inviting warmth of a hug, embodied. She is the spark of creativity realized in a song. She is an unrelenting advocate for those who need a voice. She treads softly among the forests of this earth, and she understands its magic.

Marta is fighting a stage IV ovarian cancer diagnosis. In addition to conventional treatment, she wants to be able to seek all other appropriate avenues to support her healing and well-being.

Many therapies such as high-dose vitamin C IV, naturopathic treatment, therapists, body workers including RMT and acupuncture, spiritual guides, and supplements are not covered by our medical system. These complementary and alternative treatments can make a huge difference in her cancer care, and cost many hundreds of dollars a week (to start).

The cost of these potentially life-saving treatments is prohibitive for any person facing a cancer diagnosis, and expenses add up quickly. Especially when a normal working schedule is not possible. Especially when the logistics of travelling back and forth for treatment from Salt Spring require so much additional time, money, and effort. Especially when continuing to tend to the needs of her beautiful family - Nina, Romeo, and Edward.
