Hello All;
Over the last four (4) years, our mother Marta Alicia Molina Alvarado has been battling cancer. The cancer started in her uterus but even after her hysterectomy and radiation treatment, the cancer moved to her stomach, ultimately taking over her large intestine. She endured every single treatment that was thrown at her faithfully and courageously, always trusting in God and His perfect will.
In early July 2019, her doctor broke down the news to us that her cancer had taken over her large intestine, so food could no longer be processed properly, there was nothing medically that could further be done for our mother. The doctor advised us that it was a matter of weeks before she passed based on her health and age situation (she was 80 yrs. old).
She went home with a drainage tube attached to her stomach so she could be more comfortable in her last days, but her faith and character never fainted and although she was aware of the doctor's diagnosis, she kept her faith and courage, to the point where she was still challenging the cancer.
On August 8, 2019 at about 9:58 pm (PST), our beloved mother, passed away peacefully, pain free while she was sleeping. She leaves behind a daughter, Marta Rossana and two sons, Sergio and Julio, eight (8) grandchildren and four (4) great grandchildren.
Our mother lived in California with her daughter, Marta Rossana, a single mom, who has devoted her life to raise her only daughter, Jasmin, and to take care of our mother during her entire cancer treatment. My brother and I live in Canada and although we helped with the situation as much as we could, our sister, was the one that witnessed and endured all mom's ups and downs during her battle with Cancer.
We are setting up this gofundme page to cover for mom's funeral's expenses, but also to provide our sister and her daughter some financial relief as she has been working on a part - time basis for several years in order to take care of mom.
We thank you in advance for your donations and we pray that God provides many blessings to you and your families.
