Marsmellow Needs A Little Help From Her Friends

I have been LUCKY enough to have so many wonderful friends in and outside Durango and some of them are LUCKY enough to know my very best friend for the last fourteen years, Marshmellow, the barking Aussie/Collie girl that lights up every day of my life.

Marshmellow is a community standard on the corner of 4th Ave. & 7th St. here in Durango greeting all passers by, especially those on all fours, with a "Hello!", "How Are You!" trade sniffs and "Good Bye!". She is so gentle and sweet and so very nice to pet with her "Bunny Rabbit" fur and is truly a lover of lovers and an available companion to all.

When my daughter Star Venus was seven years old we lost our amazing mini golden/white lab Ellie Mae. After a couple of months we decided to search for another "Best Friend" and visited with three Aussie/Collie puppies at the local shelter where we absolutely fell in love with the littlest one. She looked like a perfectly toasted marshmallow and to my daughter's delight we crowned her Marshmellow, the sweetest, dog ever!

This wonderful friend of mine has suffered a torn right ACL in her hind leg and has recieved laser treatments but now desperately needs surgery that I cannot completely afford. I am currently working part time at our favorite local hardware store and awaiting a state disability determination from my previous work injuries at Durango's most famous hotel. Unfortunately I have exhausted my personal savings and ability to manage to fund the ACL surgery that my mazing Dog desperately needs.

Marshmellow has so much life and exuberance left in mind and body and any help that she recieves from kind friends and lovers will be paid back with kisses and free belly scratches!

Any contribution at all to help Marshmellow get this surgery would be so greatly and eternally appreciated by the Stanton family.
