Ginny Peterson loved her Marshmallow. She would be so grateful for your help of keeping him alive.
When Ginny Peterson passed away, her cat Marshmallow was adopted by Dana Armstrong. I have helped with the vet bills as much as I can, and I decided to help further by setting up this GoFundMe page! Please donate if you can, thank you so much. Proceeds will go to Dana Armstrong in order to have his eye operations as soon as possible to keep him pain free. Please read Marshmallow's story below.

Hi! My name is Marshmallow and I am 7 years old!
The past few months have been an emotional roller coaster for me. I have been living with my mom, Ginny, in an assisted living facility. When she passed away suddenly, I was left all alone in her room. I was very sad and stressed. The nurses came to visit me, but I needed a new home.
This is when I met Dana! Dana lives in the same community as Ginny and has loved cats her whole life. Dana’s husband passed away three years ago and her cats (or children as she calls them!), Abby and Snowflake, have meant the world to her. Sadly, Dana lost Abby at the same time as I lost Ginny. I knew Dana needed me as much as I needed her. When I first arrived to my new home, I was homesick and missing my Ginny very much, but Dana makes me feel so loved and welcome, I quickly settled into my new forever home! I am very lovey-dovey and spend most of my time in Dana’s office while she works. She loves having me next to her and giving her hand kisses. We love each other!
Snowflake and I like to play in the snow and enjoy the fresh air. Dana is always right there to let us back in as soon as we are ready.
Dana didn’t know about my severe eye condition until she took me in. The stress of losing Ginny made my eyes worse, too. My right eye was mostly closed and it was oozing brownish liquid. Some people were telling Dana to drop me off at a shelter or to put me down because of my condition, but Dana assured me that she wouldn’t abandon me like that. We went to the local vet several times until they referred us to an Ophthalmologist in Concord, NH. This is where I was diagnosed with a Corneal Sequestrum. That means there is a piece of dead cornea in my right eye and needs surgery.
Dana brought me home and has been treating me with antibiotics and eye drops which I need 6 times a day. I started to feel better and I was my happy, snugly self again…..until things got worse. I was very uncomfortable and in pain. Dana and I had to make an emergency trip to Concord. This time, I was diagnosed with a Corneal Ulcer on my left eye. The vet explained to me that to keep my eyes, they will both need surgery… and soon! The surgeries will cost Dana over $10,000 for both.
I love my new home here with Dana and Snowflake. Dana loves me so much and I love her too. It is just the three of us and we need help to pay for my surgeries and post-op care. No amount is too small. We are so grateful for any and all the help you can contribute!
