My 13 year old daughter, Laquonda, has been living with severe scoliosis-a condition that causes a severe curvature of the spine. What started as discomfort has now become severe daily pain. It affects her ability to stand, walk, sleep, and enjoy the simple things a 13 year old girl should do.

Laquonda's doctors have determined that surgery is the only viable option to stop the progression of the curve of her spine. The surgery is not just about correcting the scoliosis - its about giving Laquonda a chance at a pain free life.

Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery, post-op care, and physical therapy is overwhelming. I am facing out-of-pocket costs of $25,000.
