Marshall Fire Superior and Louisville

Hello, we are Jason and Gayla Johnson, owners of Summit Graphics in Commerce City, Colorado. On December 30th, 2021, our town of Superior, CO and the adjacent city of Louisville, CO were both ravaged by wildfire. It is being called the most destructive fire in Colorado history, destroying almost 1000 homes and displacing thousands of individuals. We have lived in Superior for nearly 21 years, firstly residing in the Sagamore neighborhood which has been entirely destroyed by the fire. Our three children, Lyndsay, Katelyn and Austin all spent their youth playing with the kids in that neighborhood for many years and have many fond memories of the area. We now live in the Rock Creek subdivision that was also significantly affected by the fire, it is here that all of our children grew up and graduated from Monarch High School (Classes ‘09, ‘14, ‘17 Go MoHi!). Although our children have moved out and began their own lives outside of the area, this will always be home to them.

 

We were very fortunate to be spared in losing our home to the fire, however, many families we have come to know throughout the years were not as lucky. The number of families we know is in the 20 to 30's. The road back to normal for these families is going to be long and hard. This is not a sprint, it is going to be a marathon. This is why we are starting this donation.

 

Our hope is to be able to help as many families as possible with your donation. Please give whatever amount is comfortable to you. We will split this money up among the 20+ families we know.  Rest ensured that 100% of the money we raise will be given to the families in need.
