CO Marshall Fire -Scotty Roberts Story
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Anissa Figueroa and I am fundraising for a resident of Boulder County who was immensely impacted by the Marshall Fire started on December 30th in Colorado. His name is Scotty Roberts. Unfortunately, him and his wife and two kids lost their home last Thursday and everything inside. Their car was also severely damaged. As they evacuated, he thought about the difficulty his 91 year-old neighbor and her granddaughter would be facing, and selflessly raced to try to help them escape the rampant fire that would inevitably destroy hundreds of homes in Boulder County. He was able to save his neighbors granddaughter by getting her out safely, but unfortunately did not have enough time to save his neighbor due to smoke beginning to fill his lungs and the flames surrounding the house. We have crossed paths in our professional worlds and he is an extremely caring, hardworking, and thoughtful human being. He is a true hero for risking his life to selflessly save his neighbors. I wanted to set up a fundraiser to help Scotty and his family, as I can't imagine what he is going through during the time that they try to move forward after losing their home and barely escaping the fire. Anything is greatly appreciated, and every penny raised will be directly given tp the Roberts Family by me. Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.
