Marshall County Deputy Dustin Allen

This family faced a call no family of a first responder wants to receive. Deputy Allen was injured in the line of duty. As he tried to stop a high speed chase by throwing spike strips down, the driver of the stolen vehicle swerved and intentionally hit Deputy Allen.

His wife, Gwin, who was home with their baby (not even a year old yet) received the call from first responders that she never would have imagined receiving. As Deputy Allen was airlifted to the Memphis hospital for trauma, family and friends rallied around his wife to get her to the hospital. Imagine having to deal with all this and the fact that you are limited to seeing him because of this Coronavirus impact.

Our latest update is that he is stable and has broken his hip joint and fractured a part of the hip bone. This young family has a long road ahead as he recovers and we are asking for assistance in their time of need so they may focus on their family and his healing.

Please provide what you can: money, prayers, services within reason due to the virus (cooking, yard work, etc).

April 8, 2020 - Update
Thank you so much to all that are donating! Please continue to pray and share this post as much as possible. So far, we know that Dustin has had his surgery and come through it. He's in a great amount of pain and as said before he has a long recovery ahead of him. His doctors estimate his release this week; so, prayers that this is able to occur and his family/friends can start to reach out more personally.

Keep in mind that we are asking for any help/services you can provide during this time as everything becomes an adjustment. Yard work, cooking, cleaning, physical therapy assistance. Whatever you can provide or can share as we understand everyone is hard hit with this virus and limited in certain ways. Don't stop reaching out even if it's just to say hello. We'll be increasing the donation amount to help cover as much as possible over the coming months: food, bills, mortgage, etc. Every bit helps! Love you all.
