Hi my name is Marsha
In 2010 I was diagnosed with AML ( acute myeloid sarcoma) had high dose chemo and was very sick
Relapsed in April 2011 and endured more high dose chemotherapy
I had a Bone marrow transplant in 2012
with many side effects from graft vs host disease
I was in remission from AML for 10 years
unfortunately it came back last year 2022 in March.
I just finished my 16th round of chemotherapy and have had radiation
1st time I had 13 sessions,
months later 5 more sessions as I had more tumors appear on my head and on my chest. At this time my Dr. Is suggesting I have another transplant as what I have is very rare and should not have occurred in his words
Im asking that you please keep me in your thoughts and prayers at this time. As
another transplant is going to be extremely hard on my body physically, emotionally, mentally and financially.
There will be many trips back and forth to Rochester especially after transplant as I will need blood and platelet transfusions on a daily basis when my counts are low
I will have no immune system, meaning high risk of catching any illness
I will need help with gas, rides, and paying my monthly bills .
I’m not one to ask for help as I prefer to go without then to be a burden to others
But at this time in my life I’m asking for your prayers and support if you are able to
any amount is appreciated
Thanks again
