My name is Marissa and I have been recently diagnosed with ALS. Too young for Social Security and not qualified for SSI, I will be facing significant medical and support expenses in the months to come. Saddled with an illness that is virtually 100% fatal in 6 months to 2 years, the emotional rollercoaster will be difficult enough without being troubled with medical expenses that I cannot afford. To be fair and forthright, I am not seeking a cure (there really isn't one) but just help in the transition to my next place in this universe.

PS: I would like to think that all of the support I have shown to family, friends, and even strangers throughout my life will have some degree of reciprocation. It was never a burden to do so and I did it with free will and affection. In retrospect, I paid it forward - I hope.
