Married couple victims of attempted murder

On December 18th around 10pm my husband and I were giving a family friend a ride to her guy friends house. Our family has known her..employed her and dealt with her for many years so this was someone we knew and trusted. She asked to go down a long semi isolated country road that was dark and hard to pinpoint. Still we never felt in danger or fear..our car ride was filled with normal laughter and conversation. However when we got to the end of the road she asked us to park by a closed cattle gate and wait for her friend to come meet her down this many acres of property. Quickly after parking things took a turn..in her tote bag she had carefully concealed a 45 long Colt revolver. The first shot she fired went thru my left forearm and shattered both bones leaving me eith two rods and screws and movement in only a few fingers and still have minimal use if my fingers and hand. I was shot in the head and I will forever have a huge bald spot..an ugly scar and extreme headaches. My husband was shot in the shoulder neck face and grazed across his head . He is still awaiting plastic surgery to reconstruct the right side of his face .They found a blood clot in his lungs so the surgery has been put off. He has partial permanent loss if his vision in that eye as well. We had no insurance and disability can take months to go into effect. Our weeks are filled with Dr appointments..bills coming in and bills piling up. We came home from the hospital and tried to be positive and we quickly found it was going to be a long year of healing and that our resources would be nowhere near enough. My therapy for my arm alone is $150 a session and I'm supposed to go twice a week for at least six months to gain mobility of my fingers again and his special glasses he needs for his eye are upwards of a $1,000. We have fallen behind on mortgage..car payments and every aspect of life. Drs said my husband was not going to make it and is blessed to be here. We help people..our nieces and nephew any way we can..we have big heart's and this is the thanks we get for that. We can only assume tge woman was going to Rob us but my husband fought for us. Worried about my life and not his. She was shooting us right from our own backseat. He managed to get her out and he drove us all the way to the hospital. He is nothing short of amazing. Neither of us have been able to work and we're just in need of a blessing..a stepping stone to lift us up and give us sight into how we need to rebuild our life. She was caught and charged with two counts of attempted murder. The case is still pending a grand jury trial and therefore everything is supposed to be private and kept off social media. So this is a private account and sensitive matter. We greatly appreciate anyone that blesses us. Our lives have been forever changed.
