Marrakech needs you!

Venerdì 8 settembre 2023 il Marocco è stato colpito da un terremoto di magnitudo 6.8. Molte città, tra cui Marrakech, la città dalle mille e una notte, sono state sconvolte da questo devastante terremoto, il peggiore degli ultimi 60 anni. Ad oggi, il bilancio e´di oltre 2.800 vittime.

Mi chiamo Jamal Boussaguia, sono un marocchino che vive in Germania. Avendo famiglia in Marocco, abbiamo sperimentato in prima persona cosa significa essere colpiti da un terremoto. Fortunatamente, la mia famiglia è stata colpita solo leggermente da questa tragedia, ma al momento oltre 100.000 persone (compresi i nostri vicini e conoscenti) hanno urgente bisogno di aiuto per i beni di prima necessità.

Per questo ho deciso di avviare questa raccolta fondi, insieme alla mia famiglia in Marocco. Utilizzeranno le donazioni raccolte per l'acquisto e la distribuzione di beni di prima necessità quali: acqua, cibo, medicine, coperte, prodotti per l'igiene personale e così via per le persone della nostra comunità. Una parte delle donazioni sarà inoltre devoluta anche a coloro che hanno perso i propri cari per finanziare i funerali.

I nostri fratelli e sorelle hanno bisogno del tuo aiuto. Già 50 euro possono aiutare a sostenere una famiglia di quattro persone per circa una settimana!

On Friday September 8th 2023, Morocco was hit by a magnitude 6.8 earthquake. Many cities, among them Marrakech, the city of a thousand and one nights, was hit by this devastating earthquake, the deadliest in more than 60 years. To date, the death toll has risen above 2,800.

My name is Jamal Boussaguia, I am a Moroccan living in Germany. Having family in Morocco, we have experienced firsthand what it means to be affected by an earthquake. Fortunately, my family was only slightly affected by this tragedy, but at the moment over 100,000 people (including our neighbors and acquaintances) are in urgent need of help with basic necessities.

Therefore, I decided to start this fundraiser, together with my family in Morocco. They will be using the collected donations for acquiring and distributing required necessities such as: water, food, medicine, blankets, personal hygiene products and so on for the persons of our comunity. Some of the donations will be also given to families who lost their beloved in order to finance the funerals.

Our brothers and sisters need your help. Already EUR 50 can help support a family of four for approximately one week! The donations will be sent personally by me to my family in Morocco, who will collect them in local currency (Moroccan dirham) and purchase the aforementioned goods.

Am Freitag, dem 8. September 2023 wurde Marokko von einem Erdbeben der Stärke 6,8 erschüttert. Viele Städte, darunter auch Marrakesch, die Stadt aus Tausendundeiner Nacht, wurden von diesem verheerenden Erdbeben erschüttert - dem tödlichsten Erdbeben seit mehr als 60 Jahren. Bis heute ist die Zahl der Todesopfer auf über 2.800 gestiegen.

Mein Name ist Jamal Boussaguia, ich bin Marokkaner und lebe in Deutschland. Da wir Familie in Marokko haben, haben wir aus erster Hand erfahren, was es bedeutet, von einem Erdbeben betroffen zu sein. Glücklicherweise war meine Familie nur geringfügig von dieser Tragödie betroffen, aber im Moment sind über 100.000 Menschen dringend auf Hilfe mit dem Nötigsten angewiesen, darunter unsere Nachbarn und Bekannte.

Ich habe beschlossen, zusammen mit meiner Familie in Marokko diese Spendenaktion zu starten, um vor Ort die dringend benötigte Hilfe zu leisten. Meine Familie in Marokko wird die gesammelten Spenden für die Beschaffung und Verteilung von lebensnotwendigen Gütern für die Menschen in unserer Gemeinschaft verwenden. Dazu gehören: Wasser, Lebensmittel, Medikamente, Decken, Hygieneartikel usw. Ein Teil der Spenden wird auch an Familien weitergegeben, die Ihre geliebten verloren haben, um die Beerdigung zu finanzieren.
