Help Two Young Men After Fire Destroys Family Home.

Hello everyone. My name is Marsha. My husband Devry and I have set up this Go Fund Me to lend a helping hand to two

of our cousins down in Onancock, Virginia.

On Friday, April 12th, their childhood home, the only home they’ve ever known, burned down to the ground. It’s an old house, so old it didn’t qualify for home insurance. So, needless to say, it won’t be rebuilt.

We are so thankful to God that neither was hurt.

One young man had already moved a trailer onto the property, to have as his own “apt.”, and by the grace of God, had just that morning moved SOME of his belongings and clothing to the trailer. (He had left the house shortly after, only to come back to a house in flames). His older brother wasn’t so fortunate. He had been at work all day and lost all of his possessions. Right now he only has the clothes he wore out that morning.

Yes, the Red Cross has given some aid and one’s boss is paying for a short stay at a hotel. But neither source will last long. We will of course gather as a family and contribute, but there is not much family to give or that will be able to give.

Both young men are hard working and persevering. Please help them with whatever you can, at least to get “back on their feet” and to not be discouraged by this tragedy.
