The Bond

Murphy and Marmalade have been inseparable since Marmalade was a kitten. Murphy is my housemate, the individual who—without knowing me from Eve—shared with me their roof and their heart when I needed it most and had nowhere left to turn. Murphy saved my life. They are always putting others first, and right now, I hope that we can do the same for them.

Marmalade, Murphy's sweet and affectionate cat, is their absolute best friend and emotional anchor. Their bond is something I see every day, and it’s clear that Marmalade brings Murphy daily comfort and joy.

Marmalade has the biggest bronze eyes that glow like amber in the sunlight, and to him, Murphy is the best parent in the world. Right now, we're fighting to keep them together.

The Medical Crisis

Right now, we are facing a heartbreaking emergency. Marmalade is suffering from a life-threatening urinary blockage. We are at the emergency vet where he is undergoing an urgent procedure to unblock his system.

However, the vet has told us this is not a permanent cure. To save his life and stop this from happening again, Marmalade needs a specialized Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) surgery immediately. Without it, he will continue to block, suffer immense pain, and eventually face kidney failure.
