Marlon's Path to a Stable Life

My name is Marlon and I’m trying to raise funds for an inexpensive car and a place for myself and my daughter, whom I have part-time. I was laid off at the beginning of the pandemic from a 15-year career. I ended up losing my vehicle and living with family. The living situation is not working out, and if I don’t have a way to get to my current part-time job, I will lose it as well.

My goal is to gain my independence back and move forward in getting more time with my daughter through a custody modification. Right now, I have to Uber to work, which is costly and inconsistent. I have an opportunity to work full-time or gain more hours at work with my own transportation.

This whole situation has caused a lot of stress and some physical ailments, and every time I start to see the light at the end of the tunnel, a major setback occurs, and I have to continue to fight for what some may consider basic needs.
