Marlina Rose's Critical Heart Surgery

We reach out to you with humble hearts to share about our amazing daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend - MARLINA ROSE, who is known as a selfless servant by everyone fortunate to know her especially in the education of special needs students and as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher for the Guam Fire Department.

Unfortunately, it is now her time in need. She was diagnosed with diabetes on 2010, then on December 2021, she got really sick and was diagnosed with kidney injury which caused her to start kidney dialysis treatments 3 times a week. There have been many other medical challenges she has endured throughout the years.

She has been through so much and now she needs to have open heart surgery/heart bypass surgery which is a medical procedure that is not done on the island of Guam. We are working through the trials of getting her off island referral and navigating the insurance trials to get her to the mainland ASAP.

Surgery and recovery off-island care places significant financial strain on families. There is travel and medical expenses and follow-up care. Fortunately, we have family stateside so no additional costs for housing.
