Marley's Colic Surgery
Donation protected
My mom and I rescued Marley back in August of 2021. She unfortunately has been severely neglected her entire life. She has sat in a 12x12 box stall, with the bare minimum of food and water, barely ever taken out of her stall. When my mom and I laid eyes on her, we fell in love and knew we had to act fast and bring her home with us.
On June 2nd, when my mom woke up and went to feed Marley, she was down and knew there was something terribly wrong with her. She immediately called the vet and me, and we rushed over there. She had all of the symptoms of colic and was extremely uncomfortable. We waited a few hours to see if she could pass the impaction, but unfortunately she did not. She was then transferred to an animal hospital in Somis, where she is currently undergoing surgery to remove the impaction from her intestines.
Marley is the sweetest soul. Many of you may know how much our animals mean to us. She is truly a part of our family and brings us so much happiness and joy in our lives. We pray that she makes a full recovery and will come back home to us.
