Marley's Wheelchair Fund

I am the Mother of a special young lady, actually teenager in just 3 weeks, and her name is Marley. I know that all loving parents are the same.....they love their children whole-heartedly and want the absolute best for them.  Marley is nothing short of a beautiful person....inside and out and has been since the very first day I saw her sweet face.  She was born with Spina Bifida, hydrocephalus, a neurogenic bladder & bowel and partial paralysis on both legs from her shins down.  She's had multiple surgeries in her short 12 years....more than most adults in their whole lifetime....and could possibly have more in her future...only God knows.  I can honestly say that she's always had that happy-go-lucky attitude and always has a positive outlook on life.  She inspires others with her strength and determination to be independent.  She's in 7th grade, on the A/B honor roll, takes dance classes and was on the Special Olympic swim team for 3 years.  There's not much that stops her if she wants to do it.
     Mom speaking here....we've always had issues with insurance and high medical costs for ADA equipment.  It seems like we're always paying for whatever she needs at any cost necessary because she needs it....that's what parents do.  The reason I started this Go Fund Me page is to help with our current situation....her wheelchair.  It's 5 years old and she's outgrown tremendously.  This means she's had it since she was 8.  Kids grow a lot in those 5 years but our insurance has denied a new one twice.  They've stated that it didn't seem "necessary for her daily needs"....what???? She can't walk! Her wheelchair is how she gets around all day every day! At this point we're keeping her wheelchair together with zip ties and her feet are hanging off the end (almost dragging the floor) which is dangerous.  She's also hanging off the sides almost pushing into the wheels.  It's beyond time for a new/larger wheelchair.  We're at the desperate stage.  A new chair would allow Marley to feel better, move around better, transfer better and have better posture.....all around BETTER.  We're urgent for any donation you can offer and appreciate anything you can give.  Once our goal is met....it only takes 2 weeks to order and then our Marley will be good as new!
