Marley's Soccer Trip to Barcelona

Hi, my name is Marley Buckingham. I’m 11 years old, I live in Austin, Texas and I LOVE soccer.
I have been playing soccer since I was 3 and when I was 9 I started playing for the Austin Barca Academy. The first practice was rough, as was the first month or so because the players were so good. But with the help of really good coaches I did not give up and I worked really hard.
Last fall I got invited to play in an international tournament in the Dominican Republic, but we did not have the money. I was really disappointed but I picked my head up and kept trying. Finally this past November the try-outs to go to Barcelona came. I tried out with my whole age group and they only picked 11 of us. That next Tuesday we got an email that I had been chosen! I was so exited! Not only will I get to visit the country where my favorite team plays, but I have also been working hard on my Spanish and will get to visit a foreign country!
The trip is from April 11th– 22ndin Barcelona, Spain.
My goal is to raise $3,800 to pay for...
1. My round trip plane tickets
2. The player package that includes:
• Getting to play in the Barca Academy World Cup
• Barça Academy Tournament Fee
• Barça Academy travel kit
• 9 nights at hotel in Barcelona
• 1 beach session at Barcelona beach
• Tickets to FC Barcelona vs. Real Sociedad
• Tickets to Espanyol vs. Deportivo Alaves
• Tickets to Camp Nou Experience (stadium + museum)
• Tickets to Parc Güell guided tour
• Tickets to historic district tour
• Tickets to Port Aventura, amusement park
• Transfers: airport, games, and activities
• Food
• Practice sessions/ friendly games
I was not sure about making a GoFundMe page because these are normally used for people who are sick or in need, but some of my family and friends encouraged me to. I come from a good home and my parent’s care about me, but with both of them being teachers I thought this would be a good way to help out. Also seeing as I’m only 11 and spend most of my time playing soccer or studying, it’s not like I’m making a ton of money. So with your help I can grab hold of my dream, and go to Barcelona in April.
