It only takes a few minutes meeting Marley to realize how special she is. She always has a smile waiting for you and knows how to melt hearts!
Marley faces many challenges on a daily basis due to a massive brain hemorrhage prior to birth as well as being born with a rare genetic disorder. Many of the daily tasks we often take for granted present significant struggles for Marley and her family. There are many equipment options available which would help to alleviate struggles and allow Marley to more easily participate in family activities. Insurance coverage however, does not pick up these extras and special needs equipment does not come cheap!
With Marley's 4th Birthday approaching, we have decided to come together to provide Marley a collective gift. Our fundraising goal of $1500 would cover the top two items on the family's wish list.
First priority is a new chair. She has outgrown her current high chair and the GoTo chair would allow for not just a high chair at home but also give her options when on the go at restaurants and friends houses. The floor sitter attachment would allow the same seat to be used not just for meal time but for play time and other daily activities as well.
The next priority is a new walking harness. Marley has outgrown her current harness and the Upsee would be an even better option for her to be able to experience upright mobility like other kids her age. The design of the Upsee harness places less strain on the caregiver which means longer use times. Spending more time upright will help strengthen her muscles and hopefully help her progress toward independent mobility some day!
We love and appreciate every single person that is a part of Marley's life and honestly struggled with the decision to create this page. Ultimately we felt that offering a way for everyone near and dear to Marley to chip in for something she truly needs was an important step to take at this time.
