Marley Sunshine... Hope for Healing
Donation protected
Hello to all from the Marley Sunshine family.
As most of you know twenty months ago Marley sustained severe head trauma .She was in a coma, had several brain surgeries including having 3/4 of her skull removed lost hearing in one ear, lost her sense of smell, had to learn to walk ,talk, eat, communicate and relearn everything that we commonly do to live. She has a wonderful fighting spirit but this said she needs much more therapy, for years possibly, that can increase her chances for a"normal" life.
Her biggest nemesis is depression. It's hard enough being a teenager even without having your head crushed. She remembers some of who she was and cries daily because she can't have that life right now.
But she still puts on a smile most times....
She was passionate about her sports and just had a wonderful zest for life. As one of her favorite teachers spoke of her "sweet but reallly mischievous and ornirey and would have walked a mile to help anyone".
It has been a very very long battle and will continue to be for a long time, but she is a fighter and we continue to fight with her.
To all who have continually and are now praying for Marley and extending positive feelings and encouraging messages to her and the family, those who have physically helped as well as all who have financially helped during Marley's journey we continue to be so very grateful.
We are once again asking for any help that you all may find possible to do.
Emily,Marley's mother, has continually participated in and researched all avenues of help and therapies for Marley, guided by the most qualified professionals.
There has become available some opportunities for Marley that will be more advanced than we thought possible ,but it is far away from Abilene and will be costly for Marley, her mom and younger sister to move.
Those of you who know Emily realize that she will move mountains for her children,so they are going to move to where they need to be.
The money donated will be used for their move, and Marley's continued care. We truly believe she will thrive in this new environment and be able to achieve her life goals.Marley still believes that she will be a pediatrician and so do we.
Thanks in advance!!!
