IN DESPERATE NEED OF SEIZURE DOG!

Donation protected
Marley just turned 10 years old on August 1, 2018......19 days later Marley had an unexpected seizure at school on the PE field. She was rushed to the ER only to be sent home because her MRI, blood work and urine test all came back negative. Several days later Marley experienced her second seizure. She again was rushed to a different ER where her blood work also came back negative so they transfered her to Loma Linda's ER. She had more blood work, urine tests, CT SCAN, cultures ran for bacteria and a LP (spinal tap) done, again only to find out everything was negative. She was then admitted to Loma Linda's Neurology Unit where she had more testing, EEG, MRI (head and spine) and did a two day IV with antibiotics and antiviral medication. Once again everything came back negative and/or clear so they put her on anti seizure medication and sent us on our way with no answers or reasons what caused her to start having seizures. So here we are two weeks later and although we are happy to be home the panic and fear have set in. Is she going to have another? If she is, where is she going to be? Is she going to get hurt this time? The constant what if's consume your mind. Her step father and myself have been sleeping with her every night, taking shifts so someone can always watch her to make sure she is safe. We invested in an Empatica watch for seizures (which didn't work) and a baby monitor. Which brings me to why we are asking for help. Marley has already battled Optic Neuritis and going blind in both eyes back in 2016. She continues to be strong, but unfortunately she will continue to have seizures without any knowledge of when or where. We are asking for donations to get Marley a seizure dog. We believe a seizure dog will make her not only feel safe but us as well, like she's never alone, and maybe one day she can sleep in her room again.  Marley has to now live her life minute by minute and as her parents we want to give Marley a life where even though she is having seizures, she can still go places without worrying or go to sleep without fear. A seizure dog would be trained to be a safety net if she were to fall to the ground (which is what happened the first time, she was standing so she fell straight to the ground), they also alert us if she does have a seizure and she's alone in a room, they become your bed rail at night so she can't fall off her bed, the dog would lay against her to roll her on her side during a seizure and lastly a friend. With what is happening Marley has been feeling alone, sad, scared and confused, but the sooner we can get her a seizure dog, the sooner we could help her live a better, safer life.
