Hi, my name is Tom and this fundraiser was created to help my friend Marlene who recently received the devastating diagnosis of a neoplasm of the brain and the next day underwent a craniotomy to have it removed.

Marlene is recovering well but will need to be out of work for an undetermined amount of time. This fundraiser will help with her expenses while she is unable to work.

Marlene has been a registered nurse at Lenox Hill Hospital for 35 years now and is the mother of a 13 year old. We know she will need to be out for an extended time and the last thing we’d want is for her to rush back before she’s ready because she’s used up all of her sick and vacation time, etc.

There was so much love and support from so many people and several mentioned wanting me to start a gofundme so that they could donate this way.

The donations I’ve already received will go straight to Marlene with the names of everyone who donated and their well wishes.
