While my aunt, who was her primary caregiver, is now in a rehabilitation facility after suffering strokes, Marlene's needs have become increasingly urgent while needing a full time caregiver.

For over two decades, Marlene diligently paid into her life insurance, hoping to spare her family from financial strain during her final days. Tragically, just a month before her diagnosis, she had to cancel her policy when the premium soared to an unaffordable $300 a month. This loss of security has left us grappling with the reality of her end-of-life expenses, which could exceed $12,000. As we strive to fulfill her wishes for a dignified farewell, the added burden of caregiver costs weighs heavily on us, making it even more challenging to provide her with the comfort she deserves.
