MARLENE IS HURT! HELP FEED HER RESCUED HORSES
Marlene fell from her flat-bed truck while she was getting hay for the 30 horses in her 501(c)3 rescue. She has multiple broken ribs and is in excruciating pain. She will need time to heal.
HELP HER NOW BY BUYING 2 LOADS OF ALFALFA. Each load is 110 bales for each load, total $3,025 per load. We are trying to raise $6,050. (Valley View Ranch Equine Rescue is a 501(c)3 registered charity, so donations are tax-deductible, IRS rules apply.)
The doctor doesn't know how many ribs are broken. She says "...they weren't ALL displaced and shattered, but images weren't too clear, and since I passed out while they were trying to get X-Rays the doctor just said that the recovery is the same no matter what. I'm just really struggling to use the Spirometer, the lung-expanding thing, every hour. It is excruciating but I'm fighting to keep from getting pneumonia." Can you imagine having to expand your lungs every hour when a bunch of your ribs are broken???
Marlene used to be a firefighter. She's tough. But she says, "I'm glad no-one is here to hear my agonizing groans and sobbing when I have to lay down or take deep breaths. Incredibly painful."
Marlene runs Valley View Ranch Equine Rescue and works to fund the horses' care in addition to donations. Most of the horses in her care are in long-term sanctuary.
