My very good friend Marky had a heart attack when he was on vacation visiting me in February 2014. With great diet and exercise changes, he has made a full recovery, but has been in excruciating pain due to needing a neck surgery. He was on hold for this surgery while taking a protocol of a blood thinner, Plavix (Clopidogrel), which must be taken for a year. He can have the surgery next month (February 2015) and will need to be off of work for about 2 months to recover. Marks finances have made it through several other surgeries, cancer, and the heart attack, but he needs some help with this one. He will miss 2 months of income while off of work to recover.
The details of the surgery are: Mark had a spine fusion in 2012. That operation was diagnosed as a failure in March of 2014. The top part of the fusion became loose and is causing friction between the Titanium fusion insert and the C5 disk. The pain has been increasing because that friction has irritated nerves and the spine. The spine is now irritating the spinal cord which is causing all kinds of balance and coordination problems.
About Mark: He works as a Certified Peer Support with a very large mental health organization in Madison WI and works with the severe and persistent mentally ill. Mark is also on the board of directors for SOAR case management services and WSNAC. Mark has been in recovery for over 11 years. He lives in Madison with his dog Chi! I have known Mark for 12 years. He is a love and has been very generous to many. But, he has a hard time asking for help! Therefore I will be rocking this campaign and doing all that I can to help him.
Thank you a ton for your consideration and contributions! Please contact me if you have any questions.
