Helping Markus During His Recovery

Hello, my name is Tessa, and I’m reaching out to support my husband, Markus. He’s an artist (www.markusthonett.com) with an incredible creative spirit and a beautiful heart. Recently, our world was turned upside down when we discovered that Markus has cancer.

The Diagnosis:

Markus recently found a large, cancerous lump in his abdomen. Tests revealed it’s a sarcoma—a tumour wrapped around several organs, including a kidney, adrenal gland, spleen, part of his pancreas, and part of his colon. These will also need to be removed during surgery.

Although it’s a major operation and deeply worrying, the positive news is that this cancer doesn’t spread, and the surgeon believes Markus will fully recover due to his fitness.

Why We Need Your Help:

Markus has always supported us through his physically demanding home and garden maintenance work, earning around £2,000–£3,000 a month. Now, there is up to six months recovery time ahead, during which he can no longer work. Losing this income is daunting, especially while focusing on his health.

Your support will help cover essential living costs during Markus’ recovery, giving us the peace of mind to focus on his health. Any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to us.
