There are people in this world with a heart as big as the sun and their goodness shines through bringing joy and light to everyone they meet. This was my uncle, Mark Strauser. Mark left our world this past week and the world got a little darker. While his sisters, brother, family and friends will miss him terribly, it is his three daughters, Katie, Emily and Maggie and his newborn grandson, Noah who will feel the greatest pain.
Unfortunately losing their father is not the only tragedy the Strauser girls have experienced. Seven years ago, their mother, Patty, lost a battle with cancer. Mark did his best to pick up the pieces and worked extremely hard to provide for his family. He made sure they had everything they needed including enough love for two parents.
Two months ago, Mark became a grandfather for the first time, but difficulties once again surfaced for the Strauser family and little Noah suffered an infant stroke. This kept Noah in the hospital and by the time he was discharged his grandpa was in the hospital. Mark was never able to hold his grandson and Noah will grow up never knowing his grandpa’s love and how wonderful a man he was.
We need your support to help the girls keep the house where they grew up, pay Noah’s medical expenses and finally to pay medical and funeral expenses for their father. As Mark was only 59, he never expected to leave the world so soon and his three daughters, all in their twenties, are trying to pick up all the pieces and to put their lives back together. Katie, who is a mother, for the first time, was abandoned by her husband; Maggie, is struggling to find a job, and Emily’s work is part-time.
Any support you can give will forever be appreciated.
*These funds will be withdrawn directly by Maggie Strauser, daughter to Mark, who will be responsible for payment of living, medical and funeral expenses.*
