Mark Barbin's Catch 22

Donation protected

My name is Gabe Ullmann and I'm a friend of Mark Barbin's. I first met Mark in College at UNT. Since I've known him Mark has been cheery and fun to be around - despite any circumstances God allowed in his life - but he's going through a tough time right now - a time that Mark has dubbed as being the result of "multiple character builders".

When Mark was 12 there was a medical mistake that put him in a wheelchair. Mark has always handled that well - he worked hard in retail during his College years and then became a teacher at the Lewisville ISD.  About a year and a half ago another medical issue got ahold of Mark and put him in the hospital - in and out - for some time which took him away from teaching at the LISD for the time being.

Then - this get's Job-like... after losing his income Mark also lost his car to a repossession after being 60 days behind on payments - and then he also lost his apartment. This has left Mark in a catch 22 - he needs a car to get his teaching job back... but he can't afford a car downpayment without a job.

Mark's Parent's whereabouts are unknown... he was raised by his Grandparents which have both passed away... he has one family member and a few friends that have given a lot to him for his care and to pay for his stay at Econo Lodge for the past few months.

Mark needs: $5,000 for a car down payment and conversion to be driven with hand controls, $4,900 to settle the outstanding apartment bills he was unable to pay, and $2,655 to tide him over at Econo Lodge for 6 weeks while he re-applies for work as a teacher (starting back as a substitute teacher at first).

Mark needs this money ASAP to get out of his catch 22. If you know the Lord here is an opportunity to love your Brother in Christ as yourself! Please pray and give if you are led!

Mark is a responsible person - he wants to get back to work and be able to provide again for himself financially. Please contribute anything you can to give Mark that opportunity! Mark will be so thankful!

(Mark was becoming involved with a new local church. However recently he has been unable to attend due to a lack of transportation - I'm calling them for help and also to make them aware of his situation).

Mark will be truly grateful for any contributions. He is praying and trusting the Lord at this time to provide - in Mark's words he is living "day to day... but, God's driving the bus, so, it's cool".

Let's help Mark get out of his catch 22!
