Mark's Support Network

On July 24th, my dad, Mark Pastore, visited the emergency room for weakness in his left arm and back pain. Little did we know that this visit would actually expose Stage IV lung cancer that already spread through his spine and brain. At that point, he was unable to come home from the ER and was admitted to the hospital for diagnostic clarity and to fast track the treatment process to prevent further injury. Within the past month, my dad has been hospitalized, completed the diagnostic processes, started and completed radiation, and now is preparing to start chemotherapy/immunotherapy on Monday. My mom, Julie Pastore, and I have been by my dad’s side for every step of the way and support each other 100% during this time.

To say this month has been stressful and taxing physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially would be an understatement. My family has undergone much hardship in the past few years, specifically with the death of my husband, Andrew. Fortunately, my family has the greatest support network of family and friends who have always rallied behind us. We are undeniably so blessed with our community’s love, support, strength, and hope. We couldn’t ask for more; however, we have received a lot of questions and requests for ways to help. To honor our friends and family who want to give, I have created this Go Fund Me to provide the opportunity. We welcome you to give anything you can and desire to. The money collected will be used to cover the financial burden of this medical journey to provide my dad with any treatments necessary to prioritize his well-being and vitality.
