First off, let me say that my parents would never want- or ask for money from anyone. I’ve just felt this in my heart for a while.
My dad has been off work for nearly a month due to several medical issues, that thanks to God, are under control.
However, his cardiologist has put him not only on a leave of absence but has insisted that he no longer work nights or do the strenuous role he had previously been performing.
All of this brings stress. Putting in for a medically required job transfer, taking weeks off work mostly partially or unpaid, and going through all the medical appointments and paperwork. And as I'm sure many of you know, reviewal processes in the government world do not move quickly or easily.
During all of this, I’ve still watched my parents serve and lead their church without hesitation. Because they know from experience, God sees and cares for His people. But, sometimes God uses the willing hearts of others to provide a need.
I wanted to just reach out to some family and friends, and see if we couldn’t alleviate some of that stress. My parents have always been givers. They’ve always been there for me when I need it. They’re always there for anyone who needs it. And I thought, if we all give a little, no one gives a lot, and a huge difference would be made.
