Mark's Heart Journey

Hello, my name is Mark Hollis Mitchell. I'm a Self Employed Mobile DJ and Trivia Master. I'm a people person and I LOVE my job. I've been in the hospital for 3 months (5 different ones). Triple bi-pass on my heart was a success. I've been intubated and had to endure a tracheotomy that I recently had removed. I've had pneumonia several times over the last 6 weeks. My lungs are not recovering as expected. Difficulty breathing and endurance have been a major issue. When I make progress with physical therapy, I have setbacks and end up in the ICU again. I'm in an acute care hospital, and my next step will be acute rehabilitation before going home. This has been very frustrating on my mental health. I'm trying to push through my recovery but the longer I'm bedridden, the more challenging it is. I appreciate all the visits and encouraging cards and letters. Now that the holidays are here, any encouragement would be welcomed. Going home and returning work is not in the foreseeable future. Please keep your prayers and positive thoughts coming my way.
