Mark's fund for The Brain Tumour Charity
In July last year, Clare my sister, was diagnosed with a rare & high grade form of brain cancer.
As with many cancer diagnoses, this came completely out of the blue. Clare and our family were instantly left facing this new reality. Naturally, the first thing we did was to research and try to understand what could be done.
It’s been most difficult to learn that brain cancer treatments have made little to no progress in slowing or eradicating the disease in the last 30/40 years. Particularly surprising since it is now the biggest cancer killer of people under 40 in the UK.
This June I will be doing Ironman Hamburg with the aim of raising £5000 for brain cancer research through a charity called The Brain Tumour Charity.
The Brain Tumour Charity funds world-class research, providing support, information and raising awareness of brain tumours. It is dedicated to beating this disease.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause which means so much to us.
