A some of you know, my dad, Mark Lemmerman, was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. He is a father of 4, as well as a grandpa of 5. He was diagnosed in early December, just shy of his 55th birthday on December, 14. Thankfully, It was caught fast and a bone scan was completed to make sure there was no spreading. The results showed that It is localized to the prostate and was not found in his bones or organs!! However, he showed a Gleason score of 7 meaning It is intermediate to agressive and there is likelyhood of growth. Currently, he has chosen to take the Proton therapy route. Instead of traditional radiation, It directs Protons straight to the effected area by delivering only partial radiation when It enters skin. He will be doing these treatments daily for 9 weeks. The insurance has decided to provide zero coverage, so my dad will still be working throughout the treatment as long as possible.
As unexpected as this was, please pray that he makes It to a full recovery and is able to be healthy once again! Anything will help, thank you everyone.
We love you dad!!!
