Our dad, Mark, has been bravely battling liver cancer for the past two years. After his second successful cancer treatment, he's now awaiting a liver transplant. However, his journey is far from over.

Due to high ammonia levels caused by his failing liver, Dad frequents the ER every week, sometimes more. Each visit puts his transplant listing on hold until the cause of his hospitalization is confirmed. This process is delayed because his local hospital, Decatur Memorial Hospital, is a third-party facility, and Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis needs to wait for test results to verify that his liver is the culprit.

We're in urgent need of funds to support Dad's medical expenses, housing for his family during extended hospital stays in St. Louis, and gas money for frequent trips to Barnes Jewish Hospital. The frequent ER visits, hospital stays, medical procedures, and travel expenses have already accumulated significant costs, and we anticipate more expenses in the coming months. Your contribution will help alleviate some of the financial burdens, allowing us to focus on getting Dad the care he needs.
