Mark Pikl; First Cavalry Division 545, MP Company. Animal Lover, Corrections Officer, Son, Brother, Father, Friend, and Neighbor.
The world lost one of it’s protectors on November 19, 2015. Mark spent his life in the service of his country, community, friends and neighbors. The hole that is left by his absence is deeply and profoundly felt. Mark died while on vacation out of country in the Phillipines. The circumstances around his death are mysterious, tragic and unexpected. Bringing a deceased person home from another Country is very complicated and expensive. Both friends and family are working diligently to bring Mark home, where he belongs, so that questions can be answered and healing can begin. We need help. If you are willing and able to contribute, please do so. The Governor’s office has been contacted as have the offices of Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden; The Funeral Honors Team, State Department, The Embassy in the Phillipines, and Mark’s next of kin. They’ve all been gracious and helpful. The bottom line is that Mark needs to come home as soon as possible.
In Gratitude,
The friends and family of Mark Pikl
