Mark Peterson Memorial Scholarship
Tax deductible
Mark Peterson was a loving and devoted father who passed away unexpectedly while playing hockey with friends and family in Washington, DC. He was a selfless hockey parent (and coach) who was completely devoted to his daughters, Madison and Alexandra. We will miss seeing him at the rink playing ball hockey with his girls before and after practices, and will never forget his kindness, generosity, and enduring spirit.
Marks family has established the Mark Peterson Memorial Scholarship Fund to help players from The Washington Pride defray the expense of their post-secondary education. Madison Peterson Starr was a member of The Pride while in high school, and Alexandra is currently in the Pride Futures Program. The organizations mission is to provide athletic and leadership opportunities to girls through ice hockey.
