the Professional Rescuers of Skamania County IAFF Local 4574 are asking for support for one of their own. Mark Miller has served his community as a Paramedic with Skamania County EMS and Rescue since 2006. In December of 2015 Mark became ill and it wasn’t until April of 2017 that he was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder that has effected his ability to serve. In March of 2021 Mark’s team of Physicians identified an experimental treatment plan that could stop the progression of his illness. Through the process of his illness Mark has exhausted his reserve funds and due to the experimental nature of the treatment is unable to use medical insurance. With the treatment of his symptoms Mark has the highest probability of continuing in his capacity as a Paramedic.

Mark is a husband, father, community volunteer, active local member, and friend. He is looking forward to getting back to work, riding his Harley and building projects in his wood shop.
