On January 14, 2017, Kennell "Mark" Gladden life came upon a major change...He was involved in a very serious car accident in which a very close friend lost his life...
Mark is the father of three beautiful children and was the main provider of his family...the love and bond with his children is simply amazing...
He is a very family oriented young man and has a very very close relationship with his mother and father who has not left his side since the accident occurred...
The bond between Mark and all of his siblings is unbreakable...
The love of his parents and step parents, siblings, grand parents, aunts, uncle and cousins is amazing and unconditional...
Mark has a very long road to recovery. The accident left him with brain trauma, 8 broken ribs, a damaged left lung, fractured wrist, severly damaged pelvis and hip, damaged bladder, stomach and lascerations to his head and face. He spent six days in Neuro ICU on the ventilator at UAB Hospital and has recently been moved to Trauma ICU...
The surgery on his pelvis and hip was completed on January 16th which took several hours. The doctor has stated that Mark will not be able to walk for at least 3 months due to the severity of the damage to his pelvis and hip. Mark will have to attend physical therapy once his pelvis and hip have healed so that he can learn to walk again...there will possibly be another surgery to place a plate behind the broken ribs...
All funds will be used towards hospital bills, travel and hotel expenses for parents, the numerous doctor visits once he is released, physical thearpy visits and much much more.
Mark is a man dedicated to his work, children and family. He was a hard working certified welder and rapper. Mark did not have health insurance due to the last welding job he held ended and he was in the process of finding another shut down to work on.
Being a welder carries its pros and cons in which sometimes health care insurance ends.
Funds are needed and will be greatly appreciated as soon as possible and will be used for the sole purpose to help aid in Kennell "Mark" Gladden's long term medical care.
