On July 26, 2017 Mark was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma with chromosomal abnormality t(4;14). Multiple Myeloma is a form of blood cancer that develops in the bone marrow. Kidney failure and severe anemia are common results of Multiple Myeloma. Mark is experiencing both. Mark has already received dialysis and blood transfusions. This cancer is aggressive. Experimental chemotherapy was started on August 15, 2017 at LSU/University Health in Shreveport. You can read more about Multiple Myeloma at The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation site (www.themmrf.org).
This page was created to provide friends and family with a safe and secure place where donations can be made to help Mark with medical costs. I’ve been told that there is going to be an account set up for Mark at the Jackson Parish Bank, in Jonesboro, Louisiana where donations can also be made. Please know that Mark and his family appreciate your help.
Who am I you ask? Just a lifelong friend helping a friend. Wayne and I grew up with Mark, going to school with him at Weston, we share nearly a lifetime of friendship…
