On Sunday Feb 9th, my brother Markese (16) was involved in an accident. Due to his injuries he spent 5 days in the Trauma ICU at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He has a small fracture to his skull. This injury caused him to have seizures and blood on the brain. Miraculously, the bleed was from impact and not a continuous brain bleed. He is now home resting and will be on seizure watch for quite some time as he heals. He is also having some issues with lower back and legs but mostly muscle related. He is expected to make a full recovery but not before the time it takes to heal from this injury. As of right now he must have someone with him at all times. He cannot return to school for at least 6 weeks or more. He is on extreme restriction per the neurologist for 6-9 months. He has many doctors and therapists in his future. With all that has happened, our mom is not able to work. She’s not one to ask for help, but I know she needs it, especially going through this as a single mom. Many of our friends and loved ones have asked how they can help and this may be a great place to start. Your donation will be greatly appreciated.
