Mark is fighting for his life. He found out in December, without hardly any symptoms, that he had a rare aggressive form of multiple myeloma, or bone marrow cancer. Dr. Hall and the cancer team at the University of Madison, Wisconsin are doing everything they can to stop this cancer. He has already been through several tests, chemo, and suffered a great deal of pain. He is scheduled soon for a autologous stem cell transplant. He will having a very high dose chemo before, and will be hospitalized for two weeks or more. Then after 60 to 100 days then he will be scheduled for a donor transplant of bone marrow. If all goes well. This happened so suddenly. The costs of insurance, drugs, living costs and traveling back and forth to Madison has been overwhelming. Any thing would be so gratefully appreciated. Mark is getting ready for the trip to the hospital. Most of his hair is gone now, and he still has very bad pain in his arms and hands. He has a rough road ahead, and a very long hospital stay.
