Memorial Bench for Mark Dalley

Donation protected
On March 31, 2009, we lost our dear son, brother, uncle and friend, Mark Andrew Dalley, at the age of 19.   I can say with confidence that there is not one day that we don't think about him - whether it is through prayer, pictures, or seeing someone or something that reminds us of him. (Fried chicken, anyone?)  Whatever it is, we each have our ways that we remember him and the love that he had for us and for life.
Through these last 6 years, we all have taken time to go visit Mark at Lakeland Memorial Park.  Mark comes from a large family and as a family we have times that we came to celebrate Mark and his life.  We also know that there are times that we will individually come to talk to Mark and spend alone time there with him in peace.  There has also been evidence that so many of his friends continue to remember him with visits and will leave tokens of love.  There have been many times that roses, sunglasses and bottles, (just to name a few things), have been left for Mark.
Here is where the Memorial Bench comes into the picture.  Mark is buried on the top level of the mausoleum.  Having a bench in his memory will make him closer to us, just as him being on the top level makes him physically close to God.  When we level our tokens, come in our groups of family and friends, we have some where to sit and think of him.  As his brothers and sisters, we can come together and make this a reality. However, Mark was so much more than the love of his family, he was the love of his friends too.  Even all these years later, he is in the hearts of his friends.  We can all come together and honor him for the love he showed us and the love we have for him.
Now for the logistics: the bench has been priced through the Lakeland Memorial Park office at $2,140.   This includes the bench, engraving, and purchasing the land for the bench.  I believe that if we each put in what we can, when we can, we will be able to purchase the bench by Christmas. That would be an awesome Christmas present!  Since we live all over the place, GOFUNDME is where we can give, see the goal, and have it opened to anyone that wants to contribute.  Let's come together and show our love for Mark!
