This is very difficult for me to write. I am Mark's step daughter, Roxy. As many of you know, Mark has been fighting a tough war for a very long time; Cancer has been trying to break his spirit and that of our family, but with no success. He has kept his head up and continues to look forward brighter and better days. I have told him many times that I have yet to meet a stronger individual than him and I mean it from the bottom of my heart. He is the most hardworking and dedicated family man I have ever known, and although we cannot and will never understand why he has been dealt this card, we would like to stay positive and honor his wishes until his last second on Earth. As humans, we are not guaranteed to live forever, but unfortunately his time will come sooner than others, so with great pain and with a heavy heart I am asking you, friends and family, to please help us get him to Germany. My mother has been and will have to continue to work in order cover present and future medical expenses, as his condition will worsen. His longtime dream of traveling to Germany has always been something that we have postponed due to many different reasons, financial being the biggest. We are a hard working family, my sister is an exemplary student, my mother the single most hard working woman I have ever met, so I KNOW that they have earn this funding. Pride is and will continue to be something that we have to overcome, but help is exactly what we need in this time of need. Personally, I will gladly work for any cent that is donated towards making his wish come true, so please please PLEASE do not hesitate to ask if you, as well, are in need of anything. This illness has not and will not break us; he will continue to fight his war with us right behind him to guide him through the darkest times ahead. In advance, we THANK YOU for all your support and please continue to raise us in your prayers. We love Mark so much and it is heartbreaking as well as frustrating to know that we can’t physically help him overcome this struggle, so from the bottom of my heart I thank you today and always for any help you can provide.
